Can't find all my photos on my Flickr account?

I'm not 100% sure how flickr works but if you only have a basic account you can only upload a certain amount of photos. I can't say as that i've ever seen a place where it stores old photos either. So it could be that they've been deleted as you've uploaded new ones?
